Why I Chose Training
Dimitri Essomba shares how his own body transformation became the foundation of D.E.Fit.
I got into training after discovering the existing and abundant healthy advantages of exercising. At first, the changes were personal. I could see my body transform. I could feel the health improvement. Other people saw the change too, and their compliments and admiration confirmed that the work was visible.
That experience gave me more than a different appearance. It showed me what consistent exercise can do for the way a person carries himself. Training gave structure to effort. It connected the work I did today with the person I could become later. Once I experienced that connection, I knew this was what I wanted.
I made the decision to share my knowledge with others to extend my experience. I did not want the transformation to stop with me. If learning how to train could improve my body, my health, and my confidence, then teaching the process could help someone else begin the same kind of change.
My method comes from what I value in that experience. I use cardio and bodybuilding together. Traditional hypertrophy programming targets muscle growth. Optimized zone cardio supports a lean body and cardiovascular health. The goal is not appearance at the expense of health, or health without a body you feel proud to own. It is the aesthetic and athletic blend.
I also coach for autonomy. Training with me is learning to become autonomous. I want you to understand the reason for the work. When you know why a movement is in your plan, why the effort changes, and why recovery matters, you stop following blindly. You begin taking responsibility with confidence.
This approach is especially important for a total beginner. Starting can feel uncomfortable. If you are carrying extra weight or rebuilding after a difficult period, the gym may feel like another place where you are behind. I do not see it that way. Your starting point is information. We use it to choose the next useful step.
That next step does not need to look impressive to anyone else. It needs to be appropriate for you and repeatable. Early progress may be learning a movement, finishing a planned session, or recovering better than you did the week before. Those wins create evidence. Evidence changes the way you see yourself, because confidence begins to come from what you have done.
As your ability grows, the plan grows with it. Resistance can increase. Cardio can become more structured. Your decisions become more informed. I want that learning to stay with you. The real extension of my experience is not asking you to copy my transformation. It is helping you understand how to create your own.
D.E.Fit is new as a business, but the reason behind it is established in my own transformation. I know what it feels like to see yourself improve and have other people recognize the change. I chose coaching because I want to extend that experience. The work is yours. My role is to make the path clear and help you learn to walk it.
